Alvar was born in the land of the Kingdom of Darkness, trained from a young age to be a skilled warrior, a high-ranking leader, a champion of darkness. He was raised in a cruel, harsh upbringing and was asked for absolute loyalty and always ready to lay down his life for the Lord when necessary. Alvar made many achievements for the Dark lands and became the terror of many Light warriors until he was defeated by Ignatius in a surprise raid. Alvar was captured alive and taken to HALO for interrogation. He was mentally prepared for the brutal torture he thought he would suffer in HALO, but it turned out that Ignatius treated him with kindness. During that time, he gradually realized the beauty of happiness in the Land of Light, which he had never seen before. Alvar asked Ignatius why he didn't treat him like a prisoner. Ignatius replied that he understood the feeling of being born and existing with only one purpose and serving others without the right to express his own thoughts and ideas because he had been going through that phase. Ignatius' reply is really touching for Alvar. Later, Alvar was released. He returned to the Dark but was immediately sentenced to death for his defeat in battle. He indignantly escaped from the dungeon just before the execution and ran towards the Land of Light. When he was almost caught, a flash of light appeared directly above his head as soon as the sword was close to his neck. Ignatius appears and rescues Alvar. From there, he put on a mask and voluntarily followed Ignatius to become a warrior of light.
